Managing Tails

So as I’m working up some items, I find that I need to leave a long tail when I work. It tends to get in the way and runs the risk of getting tangled so I remembered an old trick from a friend and modified it. You can find an example below!

I made a small slipknot and slid it on the stitch marker. Then I wrapped the yarn around until it was a manageable length and closed the marker. Now I just have a small tail and the marker to navigate.

The tip originally used one of those plastic bread ties and wrapping the yarn around them, but I figured most people have stitch markers!

Hope this helps someone!
